For those of us

We must be seen for who we truly are,
and who we want to become,
before we can begin to heal.
who don’t fit in,
who feel misunderstood by others,
who don't understand ourselves,
who live behind a mask that protects us but keeps others away,
who believe that we are lying to everyone around us,
who feel broken or beyond help...

My clients often come to me wanting:

  • A kind and compassionate listener who validates their experiences

  • Guidance in navigating difficult relationships

  • A deeper understanding of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors

  • Aid in changing patterns that no longer serve them

  • Support to find empowerment while living within systems of oppression

  • A path forward to becoming their most authentic selves

Why

"dragon's egg"?

Rashad has always loved dragons of every kind. When beginning their private practice, they thought about what images and themes could convey the work they wanted to do and found that the dragon's egg could hold all of it!

Dragons are commonly seen as powerful, as makers of their own destiny, as one with the land (or sky, or sea) and mighty in both strength and wisdom. Dragons are sometimes imagined as fighters, or healers, creators or destroyers, guardians both impassioned and distant, with their own mortal faults, or otherwise as deities beyond reproach. As such, the dragon's egg holds a burgeoning force of nature: a newborn creature vulnerable to the harsh world beyond its shell, yet also full of the potential for change and growth, with a magnificent future ahead of it.

Rashad's dream is to help create the shell that allows each client to flourish within and build their own confidence until they are ready to "hatch" and go into the world with the knowledge that they, too, possess the power to change both themselves and the world around them, to choose who they want to be, and to find trust and safety in their own skin, with a flexible armor that protects them yet still allows them to take flight!
